Internships

Work on research that gets published

We take on interns to work directly on the evaluation science the rest of the team does, across mathematics, the physical sciences, biology, and computer science. Whatever you contribute to is published under your name. This is a paid internship.

Why intern with us

Real ownership

Not a rotation through tasks. An internship here means a piece of work with your name on it: a benchmark task, an evaluation write-up, a section of a report.

Published under your name

Whatever you contribute to goes out openly, credited, the same as everything else we publish. It exists after the internship ends.

Direct access to the team

We're a small group. You'll work directly with the people who designed the methodology.

How it works

1 Apply Tell us about your background and what kind of project interests you. A link to something you've built matters more than a formal CV.
2 Talk it through If it's a fit, we set up a conversation about what you'd actually work on.
3 Start on something real You start on a live piece of research that's already underway.

Domains we're building evaluation in

From mathematics to medicine

Mathematics

Applied math and inverse problems, the modeling work behind rigorous evaluation design.

Physics

Simulation and dynamical systems, the physical sciences AI is increasingly asked to reason about.

Chemistry

Molecular design and property prediction, where a wrong answer is expensive to find out about.

Biology & Medicine

From protein design to clinical reasoning, where evaluation has to meet a much higher bar.

Computer Science

Systems, security, and the software-engineering tasks most benchmarks already try to cover.

Earth & Environmental Science

Planetary and environmental data, where ground truth is hard-won and expensive.

Work on something real.

Tell us about your background and what interests you.
