Accessibility
Our approach to making the Montana Research Foundation website usable for as many people as possible.
01 Our commitment
We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or browser zoom and high-contrast settings.
02 Standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA where practical. We have not commissioned a formal, independent accessibility audit, so we cannot state that the site fully conforms to that standard, only that it is the standard we design and build against.
03 What we do
- Use semantic HTML and visible focus states so the site can be navigated by keyboard.
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Keep colour contrast and text sizing in mind when we design pages.
- Test key pages, including the application forms, with keyboard-only navigation.
04 Known limitations
Some content, such as downloadable PDF reports and publications, may not fully meet accessibility standards. If you encounter a page, document, or form you cannot use, please tell us so we can look at it.
05 Feedback
If you find an accessibility barrier on this website, use the contact form and select "Accessibility feedback" as the topic. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will look into it.
06 Changes to this statement
We may update this statement as the website changes or as our understanding of its accessibility improves.
